The temple-art of South India — aari needles, gold zardosi and stones, embroidered entirely by hand.
Maggam (aari) work traces its roots to the Mughal courts and the temples of South India. A hooked needle builds chains of silk and gold thread, zardozi coils, kundan and glass stones — layer over layer, all by hand.
One bridal blouse can take 40–120 hours. Our artisans in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Kanchipuram learned the craft from their mothers; we just give them a stage — and you a piece nobody else owns.
